Because there's always time for one more blog

Mexico

Sat. March 14, 2009

I just got back from Mexico. Thank you to all who had given me warnings that I might be kidnapped. I appreciate it. The only torture I endured, however, was sunburned thighs, banda music, and the incessant soliciting of chatchkis on the beach. I was confident about our safety, though– Mostly because when my girl friend and I travel alone at night, we only take the “no rape” road. By definition, a “no rape road” is a road or pathway where the lighting makes you look so hideous and man-ish (ie fugly) that you are certain not to be raped… it’s hard to imagine how many ground lit florescent setups have saved lives everywhere.

Today I took the rest of my website down in order to beef up the blog a bit… hopefully I’ll have stuff up for you to see within the next week or so!

About the author

Welcome to the blog of Los Angeles-based filmmaker, writer, comedian Sari Karplus. Several years late on every trend, Sari (pronounced like Mary) has fancily joined the blogosphere. Hopefully soon she'll go on to discover other new fads like how to speak in first person. Until then, please enjoy the ride.
